What do you do at an ECFE Class? ECFE classes are based on three parts:
1) GROWING TOGETHER: For you and your child, a chance for parent and child to engage in learning activities that
are planned by a licensed Early Childhood Educator for your child’s age group. Together, you can enjoy learning
through art, music, stories, and even play time!
2) GROWING INDEPENDENTLY: For your child, a part of each class is for children to have fun learning
through play using art, science, movement, finger plays, games, and stories with the Early Childhood Educator, the
Para-Professional, and the other children. This will help them to develop a healthy self-concept and a joy of learning.
3) GROWING CONFIDENTLY: For you, while children are with the Educator and Para, parents join other
parents in a discussion time led by a licensed Parent Educator. Parents can choose to discuss current family topics, share
ideas and concerns, and learn from each other. Discussion time for infants and toddlers are in the same room as the
parents. For children two years and up, parents separate to the parent education room.
